Miley Cyrus 'Wrecking Ball' director's cut just footage of UT bulldozing Fort Sanders

Miley Cyrus released the director's cut of her "Wrecking Ball" video this week, an emotional tour de force comprised entirely of footage of the University of Tennessee bulldozing the Fort Sanders neighborhood. In the video, which critics and fans have called "simple, beautiful and emotional," a sobbing, naked bulldozer tears through Victorian-era homes on White Avenue. The video is a one shot take with no cutaways, filmed by Grant Dickie, UT's vice chancellor for destroying historic buildings. "You can tell that UT is just heartbroken to have to use imminent domain to destroy people's homes so that they can build a new science building," said Cyrus of the newly released video. "The bulldozer's vulnerability and raw emotion is just so moving. It's something that everyone in a position of raw unchecked power can relate to."
